LIV, a golf series in Saudi Arabia, has offered some of the PGA tour’s highest profile golfers absurd amounts of money to come play in their league. The PGA tour is not happy about this, issuing bans and revoking membership cards. The guaranteed deals LIV offered were double what the golfers would make in winnings in America.
The catch?
Just because the PGA tour revoked their membership card doesn’t mean you won’t see the golfers in any American Majors. The PGA membership cards are not needed at the four major championships in the United States.
It’s a win-win.
